TNECD TN Main Street Program Quarterly Meeting in Jonesborough

What better place to learn about historic preservation and the art of telling our story than Tennessee’s oldest town and home of the renowned International Storytelling Festival? 🎙️📜

Jonesborough was also among the first accredited Main Street communities in Tennessee, making it an inspiring place to connect, learn, and celebrate the important work happening in downtowns across our state.

We’re honored that Main Street Livingston is now part of this incredible network of communities dedicated to preserving our history, strengthening our downtowns, and sharing the stories that make our towns unique.

Here’s to honoring our past, investing in our present, and building a bright future for downtown Livingston!

Livingston Mayor Lori Elder Burnett, Chamber President & CEO Zach Stephens, and Tourism & Main Street Director Morgan White represented Livingston and Overton County at this year's Tennessee Governor's Conference on Economic and Community Development, where more than 900 elected officials, economic developers, and business and community leaders spent two days talking about how to grow local economies and strengthen communities across the state.

Economic development is not only about landing a new company, because it is just as much about taking care of the industry we already have, revitalizing our downtown, helping local businesses find workers, and making sure parents have childcare so they can take those jobs.

The group returned home with new ideas and stronger relationships with state partners that will be put to work for Livingston and Overton County.

What a night in Livingston! 🎶✨

Mixtape - 80s Tribute Band transported us back in time for our final Live in Livingston concert of the season! 🕺💃

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this year’s shows, enjoyed our beautiful park, and supported our local restaurants, shops, and businesses around the Historic Livingston Square.

We’re so grateful for this community that supports live music and we can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🎶
