📚 Junior Librarian Takeover! 📚

Our Junior Librarian had a BUSY day at Ross Library, and we think she might be ready for her own library badge!

Today, she hosted storytime and a craft, answered phone calls, checked books in and out, helped brainstorm future programs, and even helped us come up with prize ideas for next summer’s reading challenge! She also picked out our next Big Paper Project craft, so keep an eye out for that one!

As if that wasn't enough, our very own Zach gave her a special behind-the-scenes tour and shared some library history along the way.

And she picked the PERFECT day to be our Junior Librarian! The DAR provided a special lunch for our staff, so she got to enjoy that treat, too!

We love seeing our young readers get a peek behind the scenes and discover all the different things that go into making a library run. Who knows? We might have another future librarian in the making!

Thank you for spending the day with us Emelia! ❤️

We had a very special Junior Librarian visit at Ross Library!

Meet Jude, our first of three Summer Reading Program Junior Librarian prize winners! Jude earned this special opportunity through our summer reading program, and he got to spend time stepping into the role of a librarian.

During his visit, Jude:

- Hosted his very own storytime and craft!
- Learned how to check patrons in and out.
- Helped shelve books.
- Took a tour of the library.
- Learned some library history and more about what goes on behind the scenes!

We loved having Jude join our team for the day and hope he had as much fun as we did! Thank you, Jude, for sharing your time, enthusiasm, and love of reading with us!

Who knows? We might have a future librarian in the making!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Summer Reading Program and helped make opportunities like this possible. Keep reading, everyone!

🎃👻 TRUNK OR TREAT IS COMING BACK TO ROSS LIBRARY! 👻🎃

We’re getting ready for a spooktacular evening of Trunk or Treat with a Storybook Twist on October 22 from 5–7 p.m. in the Ross Library parking lot, and we could use your help!

Want to help us fill our candy buckets?
We’re accepting donations of individually wrapped candy, treats, and/or fidget toys. Donations can be dropped off at Ross Library during regular business hours.

Want to decorate a trunk and hand out candy? We’re also looking for families, businesses, organizations, and community members who would like to host a trunk! Pick a favorite storybook, book character, or literary theme, decorate your trunk, and help us bring a little bookish magic to Trunk or Treat!

If you’re interested in donating candy or hosting a trunk, please send us a message or stop by the library!

Let’s make this year’s Trunk or Treat the sweetest one yet!
