SWACO supports DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, held in April and October each year, by partnering with different communities in Franklin County to host collection events. These events provide families and residents a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs.

The next National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will take place at 10 am on October 24, 2026.

Official Trick-or-Treat Clarification

Several local media outlets have recently circulated incorrect dates regarding Trick-or-Treat. To prevent confusion, Hamilton Township confirms that official Trick-or-Treat activities will strictly follow the regional guidelines established by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and will take place on Thursday, October 29 from 6PM-8PM.

Please help us spread the word! 🎃 We encourage everyone to share this information with friends, family, and neighbors so our community has the correct Trick-or-Treat information. Thank you for helping us clear up the confusion and make sure everyone is ready for a fun evening!

October 1-7 is Stormwater Awareness Week!

Cleaner creeks start with small actions close to home. Rain can carry litter, pet waste, and other pollution into our storm drains and local waterways, including Big Walnut Creek.

Picking up litter, scooping pet waste, and planting native plants are simple ways we can all help protect our water.
