Please be advised that the parking lot adjacent to the Train Watching Platform will be closed starting first thing tomorrow morning (1/9/2020) until 1:00 PM tomorrow afternoon for tree removal. Traffic on Highway 42 will be reduced to one lane only for a short period of time when the tree has to come down.
We’re sad to lose a tree, but removal is necessary for the installation of a pedestrian crosswalk signal on Highway 42. We all know how scary it can be to cross the road at that location, especially at night. We're looking forward to having a safer, more visible pedestrian crossing between parking on the east side of Highway 42 and our downtown businesses.
During this time, please use the two public parking lots on Cleveland Street and available street parking on Highway 42.
Thank you for your patience. If you have any questions, please call 770-957-5043.
