One of the core values of librarianship is intellectual freedom, the rights of library users to read, seek information, and speak freely as guaranteed by the First Amendment (ALA.org).

So we are always eager for Banned Books Week when we can celebrate and protect the books which have been censored. Join us in checking out a title at the library! Do you have a favorite banned book? Feel free to share in the chat.
