Beginning September 15, 2026, fall burn permits will be available through the regular permitting process for residents living within municipal boundaries. Residents should review their local ordinances for specific limitations or restrictions on burning.

Residents of unincorporated Cache County are not eligible to receive a burn permit through the regular permitting process while Stage I fire restrictions remain in effect. Those residents may apply for a variance permit through the State Fire Warden assigned to Cache County.

🔥 STAGE 1 FIRE RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT FOR CACHE COUNTY
Cache County is currently under Stage 1 Fire Restrictions due to increased fire danger and dry conditions.
Residents and visitors are reminded to use extreme caution with any activity that could start a wildfire.
Under Stage 1 Fire Restrictions:
• Campfires and open fires are restricted to designated campfire areas where permitted.
• No fires are allowed outside of designated areas.
• Use caution with burning, welding, cutting, and other activities that can produce sparks or flames.
• Properly extinguish all fires and never leave a fire unattended.
• Make sure vehicles and equipment are not parked or operated in dry vegetation where hot components could start a fire.
• Check current restrictions before conducting any outdoor burning.
🚒 Please remember: Conditions can change quickly. A small spark can start a wildfire and put homes, property, and firefighters at risk.
Thank you for doing your part to help protect Cache County and our communities.

Due to extremely dry conditions and increased wildfire danger, Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are now in effect. These restrictions are in place to reduce the risk of human caused wildfires and help protect our communities, firefighters, and natural resources. Even a single spark can start a fast moving wildfire under current conditions. Please do your part by following all restrictions, avoiding activities that could ignite a fire, and reporting any signs of smoke or fire immediately by calling 911.
Thank you for helping protect the residents, visitors, and public lands of our community.

July is a great time to celebrate but let's do it safely. Fireworks can quickly start grass, brush, and structure fires, especially during hot, dry conditions. Please follow all local firework restrictions and only use fireworks in areas where they are permitted.
By respecting the restrictions, you're helping protect your family, your neighbors, our firefighters, and our community.
Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe. Have a fun and safe holiday!
