๐Ÿš‘ ANOTHER LIFE-SAVING AWARD FROM LAURELVILLE! ๐Ÿš‘

Hocking County EMS would like to recognize these two young men for their quick thinking and outstanding actions during a very stressful situation.

After hearing that one of their moms had collapsed and was experiencing a seizure, these two boys immediately jumped into action. They quickly contacted 911 and got emergency services dispatched.

While waiting for help to arrive, they remained on the phone with our 911 dispatchers and followed their instructions throughout the emergency. Their ability to stay focused, listen, and take action during such a frightening moment helped get their mom the care she needed.

Great job, boys! ๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ

Your quick thinking, courage, and willingness to help when someone needed you most are exactly what makes a difference in our community.

You are true heroes in your community, and you should be incredibly proud of yourselves! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’™

They stayed with their friend, took action, and made sure help was on the way.

This is what looking out for your friends and neighbors is all about. Young man, you did an outstanding job! Your quick thinking, courage, and willingness to help made a difference when it mattered most.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ REMEMBERING 9/11 โ€” NEVER FORGET ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Today, the members of Hocking County EMS pause to remember and honor the men and women who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

We remember the 343 firefighters, 37 Port Authority police officers, 23 NYPD officers, 8 EMTs and paramedics, and countless other first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember the innocent lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless first responders who continue to carry the physical and emotional scars of that day.

As EMS providers, we understand the courage, sacrifice, and dedication it takes to answer a call when you donโ€™t know what youโ€™re walking into. The men and women of 9/11 showed the world the very meaning of service before self.

From all of us at Hocking County EMS:

We remember.
We honor.
We will never forget.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ September 11, 2001 โ€” Forever in our hearts. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

๐Ÿšจ Air Quality Alert โ€“ Logan, Ohio ๐Ÿšจ

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.

Residents are encouraged to be aware of todayโ€™s air quality conditions. Poor air quality can affect everyone, but especially children, older adults, and those with heart or respiratory conditions.

Please consider:
โœ… Limiting prolonged outdoor activity if air quality is unhealthy
โœ… Taking breaks indoors when needed
โœ… Keeping medications and emergency plans available if you have respiratory conditions
โœ… Checking on family, friends, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable

If you experience difficulty breathing, chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms, seek medical attention.

Stay safe and take care of one another.
