We recently had the best visit from DJ, Founder of the Lunch Debt Relief Foundation. Their incredibly generous donation will help ensure that our students never have to worry about meals at school.

To DJ and the entire team, thank you. Your work is lifting up students across our state, and we are so grateful Logan is part of it.

Hopefully many of you were able to see our very own Principal Jill B**r on the jumbotron as part of Extra Yard for Teachers Week. Utah State Athletics recognized Hillcrest Elementary on the field during last Saturday's Aggie football game. Principal Jill B**r accepted the recognition on behalf of the school.

Hillcrest was honored for its exemplary involvement in the community and with Utah State Athletics. They've welcomed Aggie student-athletes into their classrooms and joined USU for a number of community events throughout the year. We're grateful for USU Athletic's support of Logan students and teachers and it was a great moment to see our very own celebrated in front of the Aggie crowd.

Yesterday was National Athletic Coaches Day, and we want to give a huge thank you to all of our LCSD coaches! You give your time, energy, and heart to helping student-athletes grow, on and off the field. Your leadership, encouragement, and commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of our students.

It's never too late to thank a coach!

Ready to turn a page with us, Logan? On Friday, October 2, Utah Governor Spencer Cox and First Lady Abby Cox are launching the Utah Statewide Read-A-Thon, and every Utahn is invited to take part. The ask is simple: set aside one hour of your day to sit down with a book.

Our students won't be in school that day, but we hope families will make time to read together at some point on Friday. Grab a favorite book, find a cozy spot, and dive in.
