Litter Gitters Assemble! We have a date for the next time we all gather up and clean the city together…November 14th-let’s meet up at the city hall parking lot @ 8am

Please join us if you want to pitch in to make Loganville a cleaner, better place for us all to live in. Everything you need will be provided including trash bags, gloves, a trash grabber, and if you’re new, or didn’t get one last time, you will also receive a free shirt. A pretty cool shirt if you ask me! 😜

Breakfast items, coffee, and water will also be provided, a big thank you to the awesome Loganville Woman’s Club for donating and volunteering to help us with that.

❤️ We pick up trash all over town but we have fun while we do it! We’ll have team leaders that have been to these cleanups before, so don’t be scared to come because it’s a great way to meet others in the community, and make new friends. Thank you to all who care and want to help better our community!!!

📣 This is awesome!!! Come over to Downtown Loganville to see all the cute, scary, and cool Scarecrows. Here are a few pics to pique your interest! Keep in mind I’m no photographer and there are many more not pictured, so you really need to come see them in person to really soak in all the fall spirit.

🤯 There are more coming! I ran into, and thanked the ones setting up this morning in person for their community spirit, and for making the cuteness factor of downtown Loganville go way-way up. Thank you to all local businesses, community groups, and individuals for taking their time to make our community a better place. Also, a big shout out to the City of Loganville Events team for coming up with this excellent idea!!!

❤️ We live in an awesome community ❤️

Calling all Tigers from Bay Creek Elementary, Eagles from Loganville Elementary, Jaguars from Sharon, Red Devils from Loganville Middle and High School, and everyone in town that wants to celebrate with them. This is going to be fun. Let’s show up big and show how proud we are to be Loganville this Thursday night on Main Street.

The City of Loganville is proud to partner with our local schools.

Can you run faster than your Mayor?

The answer is probably yes, haha, but you have 2 opportunities coming up to prove it. The 12th annual LPD Donut Dash is coming up September 19th, and the inaugural Autumn Dash that takes place before our biggest event of the year, Autumnfest, on October 17th.

Both are great ways to get out, get moving, meet some neighbors, and support awesome causes. Check out the flyers below for more information, and sign up soon so you don’t miss out on the fun.

Come run with me, and let’s make Loganville a better, healthier place!!!

A big thank you to our local Loganville Home Depot for reaching out to do a community improvement project. They completed a beautification project over at Anthony Gaither Park which included a lot of pine straw around the pavilion and all the trees in the park. They even noticed we could use a new picnic table and graciously put a new one in the park for the community to use.

Thank you to the Rett, and the whole Home Depot team. We ❤️ our parks and we love when awesome community partners want to step in and help beautify our city with us.

Had an awesome time getting the honor to drive Rosie the Riveter Jane Tucker in the America 250 parade today in Downtown Social Circle. She is an amazing, inspirational lady who worked during WW2 in Savannah, GA, building the hulls of ships and proudly lives here in Loganville at The Retreat. At 99 years strong, she jumped right up onto the back of the Cadillac better than I could.

⭐️Thank you to the cities of Social Circle and Good Hope for hosting the parade today for the 250 celebration. Thank you to the city of Between for teaming up with us in Loganville at the Flavors of Freedom yesterday. It's been a hot but fun week celebrating America's 250th, and don't worry, there's still more to come.

- Friday, there's a concert featuring one of my favorite local bands, Flunky Bluester & the 293 band, food trucks, and family activities at the awesome new Walnut Grove Park, put on by Walton County and the cities of Walnut Grove and Jersey. Should be a lot of fun you don’t want to miss!

- Saturday, the city of Monroe is throwing a huge event that includes a little bit of everything, including a 5K, concerts, sparkles and spokes parade, a pie contest, vendors, artists, farmers, and so much more, ending with fireworks, of course. Definitely going to want to check it out. They are going all out!

🎯Check out www.walton250.com for all the event details and times so you can plan on coming out, if you haven't already, to join in on all the American 250 fun going on and celebrate with us as a county. Thank you to all who come out, and thank you to all the cities, Walton County, the local groups, and everybody who pitched in to help out in hosting this week-long party. We live in a great community!

Go see my friends Andrea and Noah at Your Pie Pizza Loganville if you're hungry for some awesome pizza. They're great people who are good for the Loganville community as well. Plus, it's always fun to see cool owners like them pitch in and get their hands dirty. (Haha, look at all that dough powder all over Noah's shirt!) Andrea cheated a little and cleaned up for the photo, but she was covered as well when I stopped in to eat and say hey 😂.

Ok Loganville, we got this 💪! Reach out and share what you’re reading with me. My girls favorite at the moment is Dragons Loves Tacos by Adam Rubin and my oldest is working through the Percy Jackson book series currently. We ❤️ reading and so does Loganville!!!

🏆 Walton County Students and Families!

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, the Mayor’s Reading Club is launching the ultimate summer reading showdown from June 15th to July 25th! We are throwing down the gauntlet to see which community has the ultimate pride.

The Mission: Help your local library cluster hit the "250 Mark" by logging books in the Beanstack app. The math is simple: if just 32 students in your cluster read 8 books (that's only 1 book a week!), your community hits the milestone! Parents, grandparents, and friends can join the action too! We have launched a special Adult Challenge—every book you read and log directly adds points to your community cluster's grand total. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Which school and library cluster will dominate and take home the heavyweight America 250 Custom Reading Chain and the Mayor's Reading Cup trophy?
📖 Monroe Cluster (Monroe-Walton County Library)
📖 Loganville Cluster (OKelly Memorial Library)
📖 Social Circle City Schools (W. H. Stanton Memorial Library)
📖 Walnut Grove Cluster (Walnut Grove Public Library)

Your Winning Playbook: 1️⃣ Read & Log: Youth read 8 books and track them on Beanstack (reading to younger siblings counts!). Adults log your books to boost the score! 2️⃣ Earn Swag: Complete fun "Citizenship in Action" library activities to unlock digital badges and collect real-world collector buttons and stickers. 3️⃣ Check the Leaderboard: Watch the live community progress bar in the app to keep your library in the lead.

Are you ready to make history? Click the link below to download the Beanstack and get ready to log your first book this Monday, June 15th!

What a great month for Loganville!

The carnival came to town and we started off our event season with the Masters car show that packed downtown full of cool cars, trucks, bikes, and people. It raised a lot of money for a great local food bank. We had an excellent grooving on the green concert on the town green followed the next day by the ever so delicious Wing Fling put on by our local Rotary club. On Memorial Day our American legion put on the 28th Ride for America which was amazing and really showed patriotism isn’t dead with all the support from those who came out for the ride and from the road side crews waving flags and celebrating the riders the whole way to Madison.

We had some exciting new businesses open up this month, including an amazing coffee shop on Main Street, The Local Bean. We had the Heart of Loganville busy going out playing soccer with elementary students and celebrating with Mrs. Lorine at her 100th birthday. We also had a small but exciting showing for the Mayor’s reading club at the Library this month. We also had the National Day of Prayer at the Rock Gym which showcased how we as a community can come and pray together. We also had document destruction day put on by the Loganville Lions Club this month giving our citizens a way to declutter and get rid of unneeded documents keeping them protected while doing so.

Making this month even busier was all the graduations. Congratulations to the class of 2026! I was invited to Loganville High Schools graduation this year to celebrate with the seniors and it didn’t disappoint. I hate I couldn’t attend LCA’s, Walnut Grove’s, and all others this year but next year I vow to make as many as I can. We have many great schools for our children and young adults here locally and to close out the month something amazing happened!

Our Loganville Red Devil Baseball team won the class 5A state title in walk-off fashion late May 26th marking the 9th title brought home to Loganville. Congratulations to Coach Mills, the entire coaching staff, and especially the young men who battled this season for the title. This is simply amazing and let’s celebrate their achievement with them as a community. It’s a great day to be a Red Devil!!!
