Milkweed seeds are nature’s little travelers! 🌱💚
Each seed has its own tiny parachute that allows the wind to carry it far away to new places where milkweed can grow. And that’s how nature spreads this important plant that monarch butterflies depend on to survive.
As the seeds fly away, think about leaving some milkweed in your garden for nature to do its thing. You never know where the next monarch habitat might grow! 🦋

Coyote in my yard! We need to learn to live with coyotes, not fear them.
We have taken over so much of their natural habitat to build our homes, roads, and businesses. They were here long before us, and now they are forced to adapt to living alongside people.
The truth is, coyotes are generally more afraid of us than we are of them. They play an important role in our ecosystem by helping control rodent populations and keeping nature in balance.
Instead of treating them as pests just because they live near us, we need to respect them and learn to coexist. They are wild animals trying to survive in a world we have dramatically changed.
We share this planet with wildlife. They deserve a place here, too.

Most butterflies feed only on nectar from flowers. However, butterflies also need water for hydration and other nutrients, like salts and minerals, that nectar can’t provide.

Check out this referendum from a town near me. Franklin Park, IL on banning you from growing fruit trees on YOUR OWN property due to “rodents”. Rodents are part of the natural food chain and play an important role in our ecosystem. Hawks, owls, foxes, snakes, and many other animals depend on them for food. If you love seeing these beautiful predators in our environment, you need to understand that they need rodents to survive.

Banning fruit trees because of concerns about rodents is an extreme response. There are reasonable ways to manage fallen fruit and prevent rodent problems without banning people from growing their own food.

Telling residents they can’t grow fruit trees in their own yards is ridiculous government overreach. We should be encouraging people to grow food, support wildlife, and live in harmony with nature, not creating more restrictions that work against those goals.
