📣 A HUGE shoutout to our Friends of the Lomira Library on National Friends of the Library Week!
The Friends provide the zoo pass, summer reading programs, books, toys and many other library "extras" beyond what tax payer dollars can pay for. New Friends are always welcome!
You can support the Friends and our library by visiting the book store, buying a snack when at the library, or enjoying a delicious treat on voting day.

Our homeschool group enjoyed an afternoon of both history and science! The Daughters of the American Revolution, Fond du Lac Chapter, taught us about the origins of the Statue of Liberty and talked about the statue's upcoming birthday. Then we has some seasonal fun with the science of pumpkins! We explored pumpkins with our five senses, learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin and made pumpkin catapults. Outdoors, we played sink or float with pumpkins and other produce and experimented with the chemical reaction of hydrogen peroxide and yeast inside a pumpkin.
Join us Oct 28 for more science: Homeschool Hangout: Earthquake Engineers.
