2026 SKFA Fire School has begun!

REGISTRATION is in Building 3 at the Somerset Community College-Laurel Campus. This is the first building on the left as you come off of 192.

The remainder of classes will begin at 6:00pm this evening.

🚨 STATE AID UPDATES – EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026 🚨

Please be aware of the following changes to the State Aid Program:
💰 State Aid funding has increased to $15,300.

🚒 NFIRS/NERIS reporting is no longer connected to State Aid funding.
All departments will receive the full $15,300 allotment.

📈 New expenditure limits:
• Insurance: Up to $10,000
• Utilities: Up to $4,500
• Internet: Up to $1,500
⚠️ These increased limits cannot be used on the 2025-2026 Proof of Purchase (POP). They will take effect with the 2026-2027 POP.

📅 New Submission Deadline
State Aid submissions must be received by September 30.
