collection sites are NOW OPEN nationwide! Help keep your community safe by cleaning out your medicine cabinet and taking back unneeded meds for safe disposal!

The Madison County Sheriff's Office will have collection sites at the following locations:

Sheriff's Operations Center, 222 Garfield Ave, London

Village of Mt Sterling Administration Office (rear alley), 1 S London St, Mt Sterling

Additional locations include:
West Jefferson Police Department, 28 E Main St, West Jefferson

Plain City Police Department & Union County Sheriff's Office, Pleasant Valley Fire Station, 650 W Main St, Plain City

...AN UPDATE ON THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER THIS EVENING...
[10.15.26 10:50 A.M.]

I wanted to take a moment to update you on the potential for severe weather for this evening. We remain under a “Marginal Risk” for strong to severe storms for late this evening into the early overnight hours.

A warm front is expected to arrive in southern Ohio this afternoon and push slowly northward toward central Ohio by this evening. Low pressure to the west will also move towards the area and this could help in the development of showers and storms to the west and push into our area tonight before midnight.

The main threat from these storms would be damaging winds. The tornado threat is better across southern Indiana.

As always, we will keep you updated with the latest as needed. Just stay weather aware if you are heading out this evening.
