Lone Jack Police Department – Community Information

We are aware of rumors circulating on social media regarding an alleged attempted abduction at Casey’s.

We want to make it clear that no abduction or attempted abduction occurred.

The incident involved a mental health-related situation. Officers responded, assessed the circumstances, and provided assistance to the individuals involved.

There is no danger to the public related to this incident.

We understand that reports like these can cause concern within our community. However, we encourage everyone to verify information before sharing it on social media, as rumors can quickly spread and create unnecessary fear.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

🚨🎀 ATTENTION LONE JACK! IT’S OFFICIAL… WELL, SORT OF! 🎀🚨

The Lone Jack Police Department has a new movement underway, and we’re not entirely sure Sgt. Argetsinger has agreed to it yet. 🤣

Introducing…

🚨💗 TEAM ARGETSINGER! 💗🚨

That’s right! We’re calling on the entire community to rally behind our very own Sgt. Argetsinger as we raise money in the fight against breast cancer!

Why Sgt. Argetsinger?

Because he’s a great sport, he’s got broad shoulders, and quite frankly, the other officers thought it would be hilarious. 😂

So here’s the challenge!

💗 Make a donation in honor of TEAM ARGETSINGER!

💗 Share this post and spread the word!

💗 Tag your friends and local businesses!

💗 Flood the comments with TEAM ARGETSINGER! 🤣

The more support Team Argetsinger gets, the more unbearable the Sergeant’s bragging rights become around the station!

And trust us… the patrol officers are already regretting this idea. 😂

All kidding aside, breast cancer has touched too many families, including families right here in our community. We’re coming together to raise money, spread awareness, and make a difference.

Let’s see just how big TEAM ARGETSINGER can get! 💗

🚨 ALRIGHT LONE JACK… OUR OFFICERS NEED YOUR HELP! 🎀👮‍♂️

The competition is on, and our officers are raising money for breast cancer awareness!

Now we get to find out who has the most friends, family members, supporters… or who is simply the best at guilt-tripping people into donating. 😂

Pick your officer, make a donation, and help them climb the leaderboard!

💵 $5 counts.
💵 $10 counts.
💵 $20 counts.
💵 And if you really like your favorite officer, feel free to make the other officers jealous. 🤣

This is all in good fun, but the reason behind it couldn’t be more important. Breast cancer has affected far too many families in our community and beyond.

🎀 Donate here: https://www.bracouturekc.com/lonejack

Choose your officer, throw a few bucks behind them, and let’s see who the community can push to the top!

Bragging rights are on the line. 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️😂

Please donate, share, and help us make this competition count! 🎀

🎀🌶️ LONE JACK GOES PINK — LET THE PINK HEAT BEGIN! 🌶️🎀

Alright Lone Jack, it’s time to have a little fun for a very important cause.

This October, the Lone Jack Police Department is teaming up with Bra Couture KC for our Lone Jack Goes Pink campaign, and today we’re officially kicking off the officer side of the fundraiser — the LJPD PINK HEAT CHALLENGE!

Here’s how it works:

👮 Pick an LJPD officer you want to support.

📱 Scan the QR code on the graphic and make your donation directly to Bra Couture KC.

🎀 Make sure you tell us which officer you’re backing so we can credit that officer on our leaderboard.

🔥 The TOP THREE fundraising officers will earn themselves a spot in the Pink Heat Challenge, where they’ll face a series of progressively hotter foods in front of the community.

We’ll post leaderboard updates throughout the campaign, so you’ll be able to see exactly which officers are headed for the hot seat.

And this is where it gets interesting…

The more money Lone Jack raises, the more we unlock:

🌶️ $1,000 — Pink Heat is officially ON

🎀 $2,500 — Tap-Out Penalty unlocked

🔥 $3,500 — Mystery Pink Heat Surprise unlocked

🤢 $5,000 — The Final Challenge unlocked

What exactly are the Mystery Pink Heat Surprise and Final Challenge?

We’re not telling you yet. 😂

Officers are officially encouraged to campaign, recruit friends and family, challenge one another, and engage in a reasonable amount of trash talking.

Community members are encouraged to make this as difficult on us as possible. 😂

While we’re going to have a lot of fun with this, the reason behind it means much more.

Every dollar raised through this fundraiser supports Bra Couture KC and its work helping people affected by cancer in our community. Donations made through the QR code go directly to Bra Couture KC.

Our goal is $5,000.

So pick your officer, scan the QR code, make your donation and start turning up the heat.

And if there’s an officer you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to get even with…

Well, I’m certainly not going to discourage you. 😂🌶️

🚴‍♂️ E-Bike Safety Reminder 🚴‍♀️
Electric bicycles (e-bikes) are a fun and efficient way to get around our community—but safety always comes first.

Know the rules for Class 3 E-Bikes:
A Class 3 e-bike is equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling and stops assisting once the bike reaches 28 mph.

⚠️ Important:
Class 3 e-bikes may only be operated by individuals age 16 or older.

Safety Tips for All Riders:
✔️ Always wear a helmet
✔️ Follow all traffic laws and signals
✔️ Ride in the same direction as traffic
✔️ Stay visible—use lights and reflective gear
✔️ Be aware of pedestrians and share the road responsibly

Parents—please make sure your children are riding age-appropriate e-bikes and understand the rules of the road.

Let’s work together to keep our streets safe for everyone!

As we head into severe weather season, here’s a reminder of local shelter locations in our community.

🚨 Storm Shelter Information for the Lone Jack Community 🚨

During severe weather, the following locations are available for those needing shelter:

🏫 Lone Jack High School
A storm shelter is available on the southeast corner of the building, next to the main entrance. A sign on the building indicates the location of the storm shelter.

⛪ Lone Jack Baptist Church
The church also opens during severe weather events. Please enter through the door under the awning on the north side of the building.

Please share this information so everyone in our community knows where they can go if they need a safe place during storms. Stay safe, Lone Jack! 🌧️🌪️
