The last Long Beach Fixit Clinic of the year is happening on November 15! Residents can bring one broken item such as electronics, bikes, small appliances, clothing, toys, and more.

(Not accepted: smart TVs, cell phones, tablets, Apple products, printers, screens, large appliances, software, and jewelry.)

The City and its partners continue investing in hands‑on repair programs that help residents save money, reduce waste, and keep useful items out of landfills.

Preregistration also boosts repair success by helping volunteer fixers prepare with the right tools and expertise. The clinic is entirely community-powered, with skilled volunteers sharing repair knowledge and helping extend the life of everyday items.

Join us, volunteer or attend, and be part of Long Beach’s growing repair culture! Register: lbcity.info/novfixit

We love the new blue recycling carts and that recycling guidelines stayed the same.

Making sure your recyclables are empty, clean and dry helps keep your blue recycling cart in top condition. Did you know “empty, clean and dry” means as empty, clean and dry as possible without washing? Think, “spatula” clean.

Follow the same simple recycling guidelines and skip the bag; put recyclables in the cart loose.

You can review the guidelines at longbeach.gov/LBRecycles
