It was a busy week for the Long Valley Fire Company!

Long Valley Fire was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the Fairmount Fire Company’s first-due area. Our crews assisted members of the Fairmount Fire Company and the Schooley’s Mountain Fire Protection Agency with extinguishing the fire and checking for any extension. Thanks to the quick work of all responding crews, the fire was brought under control, and units cleared the scene within approximately two hours.

In addition to responding to emergencies, our members enjoyed spending time with the community throughout the weekend. On Friday night, crews were out supporting the West Morris Central home playoff game, and on Saturday night, members continued the fun by handing out Halloween candy to trick-or-treaters throughout several of our first-due neighborhoods.

Thank you to everyone who came out, and helped make it a great weekend!

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities and our country.
Throughout the week, members of our fire company and their families paid tribute to those who came before us by placing flags at local gravesites and visiting the traveling Vietnam Memorial in Califon during the Memorial Day parade.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇸
