What an incredible day yesterday at the Adult Center for our Rock the Runway Fundraiser!

We were thrilled to welcome more than 180 people for an afternoon of fashion, fun, and community, all while supporting Alzheimer’s research.

More than 20 amazing models showcased men’s and women’s fashions from local fashion vendors, with support from our wonderful community partners and sponsors. A great DJ, refreshments, and an enthusiastic crowd helped make the afternoon a tremendous success.

A special thank you to the Council on Aging Planning Committee for spearheading this wonderful event, as well as our models, vendors, sponsors, staff, volunteers, DJ, and everyone who came out to support this important cause.

We are proud of what our community accomplished together! 💜

Building Connections Across Generations! 💚

Greenwood Children’s Center and the Longmeadow Adult Center are excited to begin a new partnership focused on creating meaningful intergenerational experiences for our youngest and older community members.

As one of several planned initiatives, Mr. Tony recently joined our daycare children for a special read-along! The children loved welcoming a new friend into their program and sharing a story together.

These simple moments create wonderful opportunities for connection, learning, laughter, and friendship across generations. We’re looking forward to many more activities bringing our Greenwood Children's Center and Longmeadow Adult Center participants together!

A big thank you to Sherry Mayer from East Village Place for sponsoring today’s cooking demonstration at the Adult Center! Sherry showed us how to make a delicious stuffed pepper soup, and everyone enjoyed learning how to prepare this tasty recipe.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our amazing volunteers at our annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon earlier this week! ❤️

Our volunteers give so much of their time and energy to make the Longmeadow Adult Center such a special place, and we are incredibly grateful for all they do.

A special thank you to Brian Nicks Productions for providing the fun photo booth and helping make the afternoon even more memorable! 📸

Yesterday marked John and Linda Howell's final day volunteering at the Longmeadow Adult Center before they begin an exciting new chapter and move to Chicago in a few weeks.

We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, kindness, and countless hours of service to our Adult Center community. They have made a lasting impact and will be greatly missed.
