Fundraising for the org!

BEFORE THE VACCINE.

There was a time when summer brought a fear that many families today have never known: polio. Outbreaks changed plans, closed gathering places, and left parents wondering how to keep their children safe.

That history belongs in our conversation about the future. Behind every public health milestone are families who waited for it.

Ask someone in your life what they remember about the years before polio vaccines.

Recovery Café Longmont is looking for three new members to join our Board of Directors.
We are in search of people who care deeply about our community and want to bring their experience, relationships, and ideas to an organization that is growing and evolving.

Recovery Café Longmont is a community of refuge and healing for people in recovery, where connection, belonging, and loving accountability help people build the relationships and skills they need to thrive.

We are especially interested in people with experience in fundraising and development, business, finance, accounting, nonprofit operations, behavioral health, hospitality, community partnerships, or organizational growth. We also welcome people who bring strong community connections, lived experience, or a deep commitment to our mission.

This is an exciting time to join RCL. We are building toward a new facility, advancing a capital campaign, and looking ahead to the next chapter of our programs and services.

Board service includes:
12 hybrid meetings each year, approximately 90 minutes each
A three-year term, with the opportunity to serve a second term
Participation on one board committee
Opportunities to contribute to fundraising and community connections
A meaningful personal financial contribution to Recovery Café Longmont

You don't need to know everything about recovery or nonprofit governance.
We are looking for thoughtful, engaged people who are willing to learn, collaborate, ask good questions, and contribute what they can.

Professional expertise matters, but heart matters, too. We want people who believe in the possibility of recovery and the power of community.
If you or someone you know might be interested, we'd love to talk.

To learn more or begin the application process, contact Margaret Merrill at [email protected].
