A little bit of Haunted Library FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions):
• When and where is Haunted Library?
October 16 & 17 (Friday and Saturday).
From 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, at the Longview Public Library (222 West Cotton St.Longview TX, 75601).
• How much are tickets? Where can I buy them?
$5.00 admission for for all patrons.
Ticket purchases are considered a donation to the Friends of the Longview Public Library and are non-refundable. We will sell General Admission tickets on the library plaza when doors open at 6:00 PM, and through the rest of the event.
Pre-sale or advance ticket purchase will NOT be available ahead of the event time.
• Is the Library open on Haunted Library event days?
The Library will be CLOSED all day October 15 - 17, and library services will be unavailable.
Curbside Library Pickup is available from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM on October 15 & 16 only (Thur & Fri).The outside drop will remain open for item returns.
We will open for normal business operations on Sunday, October 18. Please pardon the Haunted Library dust as some prop pieces and boxes might still be placed around the library, out of the way for patrons to move about.
• What age is the Haunted Library appropriate for? Is it for kids?
We aim for a full, scary, dynamic Haunted House experience. With lots of jump scares and people dressed in frightening themed costumes. With that said, we usually recommend ages 10+ for the age attendance. Guardians should use their own discernment when deciding if kids can go through Haunted Library or not.If they become too scared to go through, please respect other patrons and do not force them to go through. Find a staff or attendant and let them help es**rt you out.
• I’m a volunteer. Where do I go? Can I still volunteer for the Haunted Library?
Volunteers will need to arrive by no later than 5:00 PM and check-in at the library back door/loading dock. We require all volunteers to have been signed up before the Haunted Library and have attended a volunteer orientation.Therefore, we cannot take any new volunteers for the evening on the day of the event.
Please sign up early next year, and thank you for your interest!
If you would like some assistance with makeup, we will have makeup artists available to work with starting at 3:00 PM. Make sure to bring your costume and let them know of any latex or skin allergies.
Volunteers will need to leave promptly at the end of the event. Make sure you have transportation arrangements in place.
