Please pray for the family and friends of Dubois County Deputy Jeremy Lee.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Deputy Jeremy Lee.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of one of our own. We are forever grateful for Jeremy’s dedication, service, and commitment to protecting and serving our community.

To the Lee family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. May you find comfort in the love and support surrounding you and in knowing that Jeremy’s service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

The Loogootee Police Department is now accepting applications for Probationary Patrolman. Applications can be picked up in person, at the Loogootee Police Department (401 North JFK Ave, Loogootee, IN 47553), or requesting one by e-mail ([email protected]). Applications can be turned in via e-mail or in person at the Loogootee Police Department. Application DEADLINE is Thursday, October 8th, 2026.

Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Physical Agility obstacle course testing, written testing, and panel board interview will begin on Friday, October 9th, 2026.

Please join us in congratulating the newest members of the Loogootee Police Department!

Jeryco Burris and Jaybe Wagoner have officially joined the department as full-time police officers. Montana Carrico has accepted a role as a reserve officer as well.

We would also like to congratulate Jeryco and Jaybe as they begin their first day at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Basic Recruit Class. We are proud of their commitment to serving our community and look forward to seeing all three officers succeed in their new roles.
