Republican candidate for Governor Vivek Ramaswamy has a pattern of standing with s*xual abusers.
First, his campaign featured a Lorain County child s*x offender in an ad. Now, he is airing an ad featuring Dr. Amy Acton’s estranged mother—a woman who defended the stepfather who s*xually abused 12-year-old Acton, leading to Acton's removal for neglect.
The first ad was a warning sign; the second confirms a pattern. Ohio Republicans already took money from Epstein associates, but spotlighting pe*****le protectors in campaign ads is a new low.
With two weeks until Election Day, Ohioans face a clear choice: Dr. Amy Acton, who overcame severe childhood abuse to put herself through medical school, or Vivek Ramaswamy, a con man willing to stand alongside s*xual abusers to reach the governor's mansion.

A great Chronicle-Telegram endorsement for Carolyn White for County Commissioner!

Unfortunately, two out of the three candidates in this year's commissioner race - the incumbent Republican Jeff Riddell and write-in candidate Andrew Lipian - struggled with hard truths during separate endorsement interviews.

Fortunately, voters have a solid choice in Democrat Carolyn White, a former member of both Lorain City Council and Sheffield Village Council who had a lengthy career as a banking executive.

We were impressed not only by White's credentials, but also by her clear-eyed view of the issues facing the county during her own endorsement interview.

Lorain County needs a commissioner who can see the world clearly as it is, not as he or she wishes it to be.
