Today, Principal Jenerette had the distinct honor of standing alongside leaders from other schools recognized for exceptional growth as State Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver highlighted the historic progress of South Carolina schools, as reflected in the 2025–2026 School Report Cards.
Joining Principal Jenerette for this special recognition were HCS Superintendent Cliff Jones, LMS teacher Jack Hord, former School Improvement Council (SIC) Chair and parent Jamie Bellamy, and former LMS student Aaliyah McCray.
This achievement is more than a rating—it is a reflection of the collective commitment of our entire school community!
Our growth would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our LMS teachers and staff, the determination and perseverance of our students, and the continued support of our parents and community partners. Every effort, every challenge overcome, and every step forward has contributed to this incredible accomplishment.
At Loris Middle School, we believe EVERY student can learn, grow, and achieve greatness! We remain committed to challenging, supporting, and inspiring our scholars to reach their fullest potential—academically, socially, and personally.
Earning a GOOD report card rating is our next stop, but it is certainly not our final destination! We will continue raising expectations, breaking barriers, and striving for excellence because we know our scholars are capable of extraordinary things.
We are proud of our progress, grateful for our school community, and excited about what lies ahead. The best is yet to come at LMS!
We would love to have more involvement from parents, community members, and business partners. If you want to know how you can be a part of the , contact Principal Jenerette or the Family School Facilitator, Lisa Livingston.
