Today marks the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies. This year's theme: "The Air We Share "– a reminder that air pollution knows no boundaries.

Air pollution is a growing public health scourge, but an NSF-supported project aims to create a "network of networks" to find clean air solutions.

The Clean Air Monitoring and Solutions Network, or CAMS-Net, led by Columbia University, is building an international consortium to gather quality data, foster global collaboration, accelerate novel research and spur regulatory action, especially in lower- and middle-income countries.

The network is under NSF's Accelerating Research through International Network-to-Network Collaborations program, or AccelNet, which aims to accelerate scientific discovery and prepare the next generation of U.S. researchers for multiteam international collaborations.
