KIPP SoCal Public Schools KIPP SoCal Public Schools operates high-performing K-8 charter public schools in Southern California

KIPP SoCal schools have a school culture that embraces high expectations and a commitment to excellence. Our extended school day, week, and year enable our students to spend approximately 60 percent more time in the classroom than their peers in traditional public schools. The dedicated support of the KIPP SoCal “Team and Family” gives all students the opportunity to excel. KIPP schools nationwide have been widely recognized for narrowing the achievement gap in public education and offering all children a high-quality public education. Nationally, more than 90 percent of KIPP middle school students have gone on to college-preparatory high schools, and more than 80 percent of KIPP alumni have gone on to college.

October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month and this week, let's put inclusion into action. 💙

This week, remind your KIPPsters to look around their classroom or lunch table. Is someone left out of the conversation or standing on the edge of the group?

Encourage them to make room. Invite them in. Ask a question. Save them a seat. Include them in the game. Inclusion is more than saying everyone is welcome. It is noticing who may not feel welcome yet and taking a small step to change that.

At KIPP SoCal, belonging is built through the choices we make every day.

💛 Families currently on a waitlist who want to apply for next school year

Next Year Starts today, and applying is super easy:

📌 Already a KIPP SoCal family? Current students who are staying at the same school do not need to reapply. Fourth graders moving from KIPP Comienza Community Prep Lower, KIPP Compton Community School Lower, KIPP Corazón Academy Lower, or KIPP Endeavor College Prep directly into their KIPP SoCal upper school do not need to reapply.

🚨This morning, our schools put safety into action for the Great California ShakeOut! And what an incredible display of preparation, teamwork, and care for all of our KIPPsters!

Huge thanks to our school teams, operations teams, and school leaders across KIPP SoCal for the systems, structures, and practice that make moments like this possible.

A special shoutout to our heroes at , where calm, organized teams kept our little KIPPsters safe (and even having fun!) while our big KIPPsters sprang into action with search and rescue to make sure everyone was safe and accounted for! 💙

We hope we never need these skills. But if we do, we're ready! 🙌

🎉 Great news for our KIPP Endeavor College Prep community! The LAUSD Board has voted to renew KIPP Endeavor’s charter for five more years, through June 2032!

This milestone reflects the strength of our entire community: our KIPPsters, families, educators, school leaders, partners, and everyone who showed up and stood alongside us.
