Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our Math Academy faculty and all Armstrong staff. 🩷🌻🩷 FOMA (Friends of Math Academy) treated our teachers to an annual catered lunch from today. Thank you for everything you do for our students all year!

Congratulations to all the Math Academy students who participated in the LAUSD Arts Fest on Saturday. Our students performed with the LAUSD Middle School Honor Band, Honor Orchestra and the Armstrong Jazz Band downtown at Grand Park.

It’s the last FOMA meeting of the year!! Join us on Zoom this Thursday, May 1 at 7pm.
We will be discussing all of our fun plans for the end of the school year and electing our FOMA Board for the 2025-26 school year. All Math Academy parents and teachers are encouraged to attend!
It’s also that time of year when so much is happening for the Class of 2025!

The LAST CHANCE for 5th grade students to take the Highly Accelerated Math Test is this week — Tuesday, April 29! ✏️🗒️ Check our bio for a link to register for the test!
If Armstrong Middle School (formerly Millikan) is your neighborhood/resident school or if you have been accepted through the charter lottery, you may apply to the Math Academy by taking the Highly Accelerated Math Test. The test is required for acceptance into the Math Academy.

Pi Day 2025 was a sunny success and the rain delay from Friday allowed us to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as well! ☀️🍀 From the Pie Eating Contest to the Pizza/Pie lunch to the Pi-themed games, the Math Academy treated the entire student body and staff to a fun-filled extended lunch hour! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to the students who made it extra fun. 💛🦁🖤
