Honored to attend the State of the City with Karen Bass
In a moment that demands clarity and courage, the message was clear: resiliency and resistance are not abstract ideas they are daily practices. Our communities continue to rise, organize, and lead, even in the face of uncertainty. We move forward grounded in collective strength, dignity, and purpose.

Feliz día de reyes! ✨🥳🌍🎁 SALEF is looking forward to celebrating the youth and their families in the community this Saturday. As we set up to distribute toys near Santa Monica Blvd, in collaboration with , we want to share the intention of securing a fun time for youth over in CD11 to stop by and pick up toys, resources and snacks.
The event is set to run from 1-3pm.
Please RSVP via the link on our story. Hope to see you there 🥳
Thirty years of showing up.
not when it’s easy, but when it’s needed most.
From wildfire relief and rental assistance,
to closing the digital divide and opening doors through scholarships.
From emergency know-your-rights sessions,
to being first on the ground when ICE raids shook our communities.
We protected. We educated. We organized.
We built tools like ALMA App to keep our people informed and safe.
We stood with families living in fear and reminded them they are not alone.
This is what leadership looks like when it’s rooted in love, courage, and responsibility.
Unapologetically Salvadoran.
Unapologetically American.
Unapologetically for our people: then, now, and always. 🇸🇻🤍

For 20 years, the Los Angeles–San Salvador Sister City partnership has strengthened the cultural and civic ties that unite our communities. 🇸🇻✨🇺🇸
In honor of this legacy, the L.A. City Council has designated December 1st as Salvadoran American Heritage Day, recognizing the history, leadership, and countless contributions of Salvadoran Americans across the city.
