Three days to Variety Night May!

Join us this Monday - Memorial Day at 7pm at The Blue Door Theater for Shakespeare monologues, scenes, stand up comdedy and music!

The Veterans Short Film Project has wrapped production! This program, the , was created to provide opportunities and career advancement for military veterans in media and entertainment.

Allen Adkins's short film Breaking Up was selected to be produced by ArtsUP! LA after a writers' workshop designed to take military veterans screenwriters to the next level of their careers.
Phase 2 was all about finding the perfect director, and we did! Tim Yao brought his vision, his expertise and his patience to every pre-production meeting and to set every day.
Phase 3 was completed yesterday. Three days of production in a professional studio in North Hollywood and filmmakers taking over The Blue Door Theater.

ArtsUP! LA and Returning Soldiers Speak are casting The Letters Project 2

We've been collecting and curating correspondence written by military personnel to their family and friends during times of war. Military veterans wrote original monologues and scenes based on the letters to be performed at The Blue Door in June.
