Hi everyone! It’s been a while but we wanted to hop back on the socials to assure you that we’re still out here putting in the work to stand in solidarity with our unhoused neighbors in Venice! 💪🏽
Catch us distributing food, hygiene essentials, clothing and more at the Rose Ave parking lot on Sunday and Thursday mornings around 10am! ☀️ This is how we start our outreach and connect with our neighbors experiencing homelessness - we then go on to connect folks with housing, rehab, family, medical care, and more.
Wanna help us out? Whether by donating or volunteering, you can get involved in our mission of changing lives with love and care. Comment below or send us a DM! 🤗
Thanks to our local for the generous food donations and to our volunteers Major and Rad. 💗

This we’re reflecting on some of the work we’ve been lucky enough to do this past month to support our unhoused neighbors as they transition out of Venice Beach. With the help of community orgs like , , , .nanays.kitchen and , we distributed over 300 meals a week to folks in the area!
Food is important. It’s the first step of outreach. It’s hard to think about long-term goals and needs on an empty stomach — that’s why we serve food before doing street outreach. We also hand out water, hygiene items, clothes, etc.
Always grateful to be able to serve and work with our unhoused community, and change lives with love and care!
Happy Sunday! Stay tuned for a

It’s important to understand the context of our work and the history of homelessness in Venice Beach. This article does a great job highlighting the effects of NIMBYism in Venice and reveals a lot about why the unhoused crisis is where it is today. Check it out! Link in bio.
Update: we’ve heard that the move out deadline for our outreach area has been extended to this Friday. Several of our friends are moving in, but there’s a lot of work to be done. Stay tuned!

Zone 5, between Navy and Rose on Ocean Front Walk, is where we primarily do our outreach work. It's being targeted now for clean-up and the deadline for unhoused people to leave has been extended a week to next Friday. We hope to work with as many of our friends experiencing homeless as possible by then to safely and respectfully transition them into housing with the help of other organizations!
Stay tuned for more updates from the boardwalk.

There’s no justification for doing sweeps like this. It’s inhumane and prevents outreach organizations like ours from doing the work we set out to do. When the process is transparent and we have the opportunity to work alongside other groups, we can make sure our unhoused neighbors are treated with respect.
There’s simply no reason to be doing this to people, and it destroys the trust that groups like ours work so hard to build.
More Venice updates to come!

We are fundraising for a storage unit so that we can accept larger donations and better serve the unhoused community in Venice Beach and across Los Angeles. Please help us by putting money towards our first year of rent! Every dollar you can contribute will directly benefit those experiencing homelessness and allow us to continue changing lives with love and care.
