Dead Sea Scrolls-LIVE

On Monday Dec 5th, 300 students from YULA Girls School and Shalhevet High School attended the first ever live Museum-to-Cinema Parlay.

For the event, we connected The Landmark Regent cinema in Westwood to the Israel Museum in Jerusalem via live fiber.

Chief Curator of the Dead Sea Scrolls, Dr. Adolfo Roitman, led a live tour of the Great Isaiah Scroll from inside the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.

The program was developed and produced by Ella Belzberg and Benjamin Stuart Thompson, founders of The Avanti Lab.

Prepare to sing along with us! "Keduse Keduse" (Kadosh Kadosh) is a 2000 year old song of longing for Jerusalem traditionally sung by Ethiopian Jews. The text comes from Isaiah 6:3.

Featuring Shai Fredo, the Ethiopian-Israeli performing artist, accompanied by a mansenko, an ancient one-string instrument.

Shai and his fellow musicians will perform for Jerusalem and Los Angeles on Monday during the LIVE Parlay.
