While you were sleeping, Officers received a call reporting suspicious activity on a high school campus where people were seen removing property from the school gymnasium.
•
The LASPD Burglary Task Force and Patrol Officers responded to the location and saw a U-Haul truck leaving the school gymnasium. Additional persons were seen running away from the location while throwing unknown items on the ground.

Officers were able to follow the U-Haul truck and take the driver into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, a large amount of school gym equipment was found in the back storage compartment along with burglary tools.

In addition, Officers were able to take two suspects into custody on the perimeter. During their investigation, gloves used in the commission of the crime were located.

A thorough search and sweep of the campus was performed. Pry marks to a door and damage to the school gymnasium was found throughout.

After a successful response and investigation, Officers were able to arrest three adults for burglary and recover stolen property from the school.

Thanks to the Officers quick response and great observations skills, another school location is safe! Job well done!

Hey guys I know times are difficult right now with what’s going on with law enforcement country wide but we need to stick with them and support them from being abolished by people who don’t like them. The city council is trying to defund the LAPD and the UTLA board members are trying to abolish the LASPD with out the Teaches knowledge of why they are trying to do and that’s not right. My self and hundreds of thousands of students and school facilities appreciate and support what the Los Angeles unified school police officers do and as well as LAPD so let’s keep them well-funded and give them the support they need to continue to keep us safe in schools and in our community.
