We did it! I am so excited to announce that we won this election! This incredible achievement would not have been possible without your unwavering support, dedication, and belief in our vision for a better LAUSD. From the bottom of my heart, I want to extend my sincerest gratitude for your help in volunteering, contributing, spreading the word, voting and simply believing in my leadership.

I am eager to continue fighting for our students in LA Unified. While I’m proud of the progress we’re making, it’s still not fast enough or steep enough for our most vulnerable students. You can count on me to raise our voices for access, equity and justice so that all our students are prepared to thrive in the college, career, and life of their choice.

This week the Board passed a new co-location policy that I believe wasted the time, effort and emotions of staff and advocates. It doesn’t solve any of the real co-location challenges and gives false hope to its supporters. Your vote matters.
