Compost station on site.
As an interdisciplinary school environment and community project, this garden is an outdoor classroom & transformational force for Micheltorena Elementary School and the citizens of Silver Lake. It serves as an educational tool, a classroom area, and a gathering place for students, teachers, parents and the community at large.

Saturday is Earth Day! Please come join us in the Micheltorena Elementary Garden for a Weedstock party, come pull weeds & give the garden a little spring love. Bring garden gloves & a sun hat if you have them! *Or of course, just come & visit the garden & say hello! We would love to see you.

Interested in watching Studio Ghibli's My Neighbor Totoro on the big screen? 😉
We're happy to announce that as part of our Celebration, we will be having two (2) screenings of My Neighbor Totoro in our Aratani Theatre for free!
The first screening will start at 1 pm and will be English Dubbed. The second screening will start at 4 pm and will be screened in Japanese Audio with English Subtitles.
