The Swan Stairway is one of Silver Lake's 52 historic stair streets, and it is one of the 10 featured landmarks on the Painted Stairways of Silver Lake Walking Tour. The Swan Stairway is the highlight of the Painted Stairways of Silver Lake tour designed by So Cal Stairclimbers:
Google map of the 5 mile Painted/Film Loop, the most intense of the many short 4-6 mile evening loops we have designed that span most of LA County in the areas with stairways. This route climbs over 2,000 stairway steps but mostly on large stairways with counts between 133 and 287 steps. The route map has info about the 2 stairways used in films, as well as info on the 8 painted stairways. Here is the map link so you can load it on your phone and try this route for yourself, and I warn you that it is difficult:
