what better way to cool down after iReady testing than with popsicles?

Dear Parents and Guardians,

In alignment with LAUSD, which announced the closure of all schools for Monday, August 21, due to Tropical Storm Hilary, Alliance has made the decision to close all of our schools and afterschool programs, as well as the Home Office.

An unprecedented weather event for Los Angeles, we’ve made this decision given that the storm is expected to peak late tonight, leaving us with insufficient time to announce a closure at a later time. In addition, we understand that many Alliance staff may have scholars at an LAUSD school, and The California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) has strongly recommended that charter schools align with LAUSD’s closure.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are closing our sites to all staff, including administrators, custodians, operations staff, etc.

We expect school to resume as normal on Tuesday, August 22nd at 8:00 AM, but we will remain in touch throughout the day on Monday in the event of any updates. In the meantime, we encourage you to regularly monitor local news, weather forecasts, and official government announcements for updates on Tropical Storm Hilary.

The safety of the Alliance community is our top priority. Please continue to take all necessary safety precautions and follow the guidance of our local authorities.
