Today, I joined Long Beach Councilmember Kristina Duggan to visit the Peninsula and see firsthand the damage caused by recent storm surges and high tides.
Just as our Office provided property tax relief following the devastating Palisades and Eaton fires, we are committed to helping affected Long Beach property owners access the relief they need.
We’ll be working closely with local partners to meet directly with property owners, answer questions, and support them through recovery.

Great conversations today with students at Cal State Long Beach’s Consumer Affairs Symposium! It was a pleasure to share how the work of the Assessor’s Office touches everyday lives and why fairness, equity, and public service are at the heart of what we do. Our next generation of public servants is sitting in classrooms like these, and I hope today’s conversation inspired a few students to consider a career with our office.

A major milestone for the Assessor’s Office and a proud moment for our entire team!

At the 39th Annual Los Angeles County Productivity and Quality Awards, our Assessor Modernization Project (AMP) received the Commission Special Award for Process Improvement, recognizing years of innovation that have fundamentally transformed how we serve Los Angeles County.

From replacing decades old paper processes with modern technology to expanding online services, improving assessment accuracy, and accelerating property tax relief for wildfire survivors, AMP has made our Office more efficient, accessible, and responsive to the needs of property owners.

It was a pleasure to join Supervisor Hilda L. Solis and County leadership in celebrating this achievement.

Last night, I sailed away to address the Marina Del Rey Rotary Club at their monthly meeting. We had great discussions on assessments, property tax savings, and explained how our work helps keeps funding of vital public services on course. I am grateful for the Rotary Club’s hospitality and for not going overboard with their questions! Thank you and I look forward to the next step of our partnership.

Great to join the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce for its Annual Legislative Breakfast and a timely conversation about the issues affecting the Peninsula and the greater South Bay.
I appreciated the opportunity to share updates from my Office alongside Congressman Ted Lieu, Senator Ben Allen, Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, and representatives.
Thank you to the Chamber for bringing local, state, federal, and County leaders together and for making sure the Peninsula’s residents and businesses have a seat at the table.

Our history was shaped by people who showed up. What comes next will be shaped by participation, too.

This LGBTQ+ History Month, we honor generations of people who organized, advocated, challenged barriers, built community, and made their voices heard.
Decisions made by elected representatives and through ballot measures can affect the rights, services, safety, and quality of life of LGBTQ+ communities across Los Angeles County.

This October, honor the history — and take part in what comes next.
Election Day: November 3 Make your plan to vote: plan.lavote.gov

Our history matters. Our voices matter. Our participation matters.
