LAPD Transit Services Division would like to honor Deputy Chief Donald Graham for an incredible 30 years with the Los Angeles Police Department.
For his final day in uniform, Chief Graham chose to do what he’s always done best serve the community. He spent the day riding Metro trains, speaking with riders, and connecting with the public. He was also joined by his new partners at the Los Angeles School Police Department.
It was the perfect sendoff for a leader who never stopped showing up for the people of Los Angeles.
Thank you for your service, Chief. Wishing you nothing but continued success and fulfillment in your next chapter!

Captain Baez is honored to celebrate his fourth award and five nominations spanning three bureaus and divisions. He extends his sincere appreciation to the dedicated men and women of the LAPD particularly those who volunteer their time on their days off to support operations along the MTA system and enhance the safety of our transit community.
A special acknowledgement is extended to the members of Transit Services Division whose unwavering professionalism and commitment serve as the foundation that keeps the LAPD TSD mission moving forward.

Today, officers from LAPD Transit Services Division proudly completed the YMCA Stair Climb Heroes Challenge at the U.S. Bank Tower. This special division of the annual event honors the dedication and resilience of firefighters and law enforcement officers who take on the challenge of climbing all 75 floors in full gear.
We are proud of our officers for their commitment to service, wellness, and community, and for representing TSD in this important cause supporting the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA and the many programs they provide to the Los Angeles community.

A Medal of Valor was awarded yesterday by Chief McDonnell to the family of retired LAPD Motor Officer Ken Osmond.
On September 20, 1980, Officer Osmond was involved in an officer-involved shooting, returning fire at a stolen vehicle suspect who struck him in the body armor and belt buckle areas.
Officer Osmond is also fondly remembered for portraying “Eddie Haskell” on the classic television series Leave it to Beaver. Officer Osmond is remembered for his valiant service.

Today, we had the honor of thanking Gabby and the amazing team at L.A. Donut for stepping up in a big way during the recent fires. From the very first day, they showed up at the command post making sure first responders were fed, hydrated, and encouraged when we needed it most.
Gabby, your kindness and generosity kept us going. 💙 To you and your team, please accept this small token of our gratitude it’s nothing compared to the heart you’ve shown our officers and community.
