And even in a time of rapidly advancing technology and massive corporate influence in politics, the most effective way to make that change is still by hitting the streets, talking to people, and getting them involved. That’s exactly what Grassroots has done, since a small group of seasoned activists founded the company in 2003. Grassroots Campaigns quickly became a prominent force in the progressive movement, known for running expansive field operations for the Democratic National Committee and MoveOn PAC during the 2004, 2006 and 2008 elections. Since our initial campaigns, we’ve expanded our work, partnering with groups like ACLU, Amnesty International, Planned Parenthood, and Oxfam America to conduct year-round outreach. In less than 10 years, we’ve played an important role in a historic presidential election, engaged thousands in the movement for LGBT equal rights, and fundraised hundreds of millions of dollars for worthy causes like international human rights.
