Workshops included picking the right type of college, what the office of admissions looks for in a student application, writing a personal statement, surviving after college and much more. Meet Votan Henriquez. Votan is this year’s Camp Autry teaching artist. Have you signed up for Camp Autry yet? August 1-2, students will be exploring the work of contemporary Chippewa artist, David Bradley, at the Autry Museum of the American West. We’ve just selected a new cohort of students for our 2019-2020 Student Ambassador Program! As we get ready to bring them into the youTHink SAP family, check out the amazing Creative Intervention Projects that our 2018-2019 cohort created. The ambassadors chose issues that mattered to them and created films, websites, and presentations to share with their communities. youThink just wrapped up two Photography for Social Change neighborhood programs held at Los Angeles parks.
One was held at Jesse Owens Park in South Central Los Angeles and the other at Ruben F. Salazar park in East Los Angeles.
Students learned digital photography basics, including: composition, lighting, and how to make social justice statements with their photos.
