We had the incredible opportunity to work with Animal Control Officer E. Hyder in Los Angeles County for a few years. He was a great human being, and a joy working with him in our Department.
He made the ultimate sacrifice in doing his duty and took his expertise and talent, and moved to the state of Florida to pursue his career.
Unfortunately, we received the tragic news this weekend that he was no longer with us due to a sad event. We give our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. We want to offer our condolences to the family of the fallen officer. As a fellow officer, I know he loved the job, as we all do. He may be gone, but he is never forgotten.

The Animal Rescue Squad heroe was called for an injured raptor.
Once on scene Officer Taylor discovered it was an Australian Wedge Tail Eagle 🦅 that was struck by a vehicle.
Officer Taylor transported the eagle for medical attention and is now recovering!
