PLEASE SIGN AND JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN TO STOP THE DEMOLITION OF THE PALESTINIAN VILLAGE OF SUSYA!!
"In five days, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman will decide whether or not to destroy 40 percent of the Palestinian village of Susya, leaving roughly 100 people homeless.
Israel’s closest allies have made it clear that such actions shatter trust, impede peace efforts and damage Israel’s reputation across the globe. Thousands of Americans have signed our petition asking Secretary Kerry to intervene. And, as of August 10, Haaretz is reporting that the State Department is sending strong warnings.
This shows our campaign is working. But we cannot let up now. Please add your name to our petition and tell Secretary Kerry to keep the pressure on until the demolition is averted."

Why Are Our Federation Dollars Funding Israeli Settlements?
A cursory search of American Jewish federations’ spending reveals funding of right-wing Israeli settler groups. J Street student leaders demand to know which federations send money over the Green Line — and want them to stop.

In light of situations happening on campus, we have decided to cancel tonight's event commemorating the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin. Right now, it is important for us to stand together as a campus and in unity with students of color all around the country. We encourage all of our members to participate in actions and dialogues on our campus. Look out for emails about more events in the future.
In solidarity,
The J Street U Oxy Team

We at J Street U Oxy find the defacement of the SJP memorial for those who died in Gaza over last summer absolutely despicable. The statement in the graffiti, "All Muslims are not terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslim today," is not only unfounded and Islamophobic, but also entirely irrelevant to the memorial's purpose. The mourning and recognition of loss of life should not be made into a political, religious or racial affair. J Street U exists to bring attention to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and this defacement only makes more clear that our effort to educate the Oxy community is a necessary one.

Hey all!
There is a critical vote happening within our community this week regarding a VP of sustainability and the establishment of a diversity and equity board.
J Street U supports DEBI: Diversity and Equity Board Initiative, because of our shared values of openness and honesty surrounding all issues on campus.
For this reason we strongly urge everyone to vote!
it takes just 1 minute to vote! Go to my.oxy.edu -> click student services tab -> click student elections (on the left side) -> Vote for DEB and the VP of Sustainability!

Our very own Ben Poor telling it like it is!
"Growing up, I never gave much thought to stuffing my tzedakah money into the blue Jewish National Fund boxes at my BBYO meetings and synagogue. I thought they were just iconic symbols of righteous charity; I probably should’ve looked at the Green Line-less map of Israel on the side of the box more closely. Last year, investigative journalist Raviv Drucker uncovered a list of 14 projects the JNF secretly funded in the settlements"
Where does American funding for Israel go? | Opinion
Where does American Jewish communal funding for Israel go? Do we have a right to know? As an American Jew who advocates for a two-state solution and Israeli democracy, I often hear that if I want to advocate for my vision of Israel’s future, I have to move to Israel. If I wanted to sit on my couch,…
