In order to access the “feedback hub,” visitors to the VOH need to click on the Station 12 image.

Next Steps: Feedback received by May 18, 2026 will be considered as the Draft GPA is developed. The Draft GPA will be available for public review and feedback in Spring or Summer 2026. Once State Parks determines the General Plan Amendment meets the required standards and conditions for consideration of action, the Final Draft GPA will be scheduled for a State Park and Recreation Commission meeting Agenda, anticipated in Fall 2026.

Yesterday was not only Earth Day, but our 9 year anniversary as a park!! 🌱🎉 The first three photos are from the opening, and the last three are of recent fun times. How the park has grown! 💗 Thank you to our staff members and seasonal employees who have kept the park beautiful, safe, and full of programs and events all of these years.

LA State Historic Park is an example of much needed green space in a neighborhood lacking park access, and Gov Gavin Newsom has announced the opening of three new parks, also in communities lacking park access out in the Central Valley! We look forward to visiting those new parks soon to see how the parks and surrounding communities blossom and grow. 🌳☀️

California State Parks is considering an amendment to the Los Angeles State Historic Park (LASHP) General Plan. This proposed amendment would add a transit land use to the General Plan, allowing the proposed Los Angeles Aerial Rapid Transit (LA ART) project to be considered.
The next phase in the public process commences today with the release of the Virtual Open House to present Draft GPA Options and potential future park programming and facilities. The Draft GPA Options are currently available for public review and consideration and feedback. Feedback received by May 18, 2026, will be considered as State Parks prepares the Draft GPA.

Next Thursday! Join us for the extended with two additional park programs, free to the public.😄 We will have the LA Astronomical Society at the market from 5-7pm, this time with a solar telescope to (safely) gaze at the sun with possible sightings of Venus and Jupiter after sunset. Also, bring your kids along for a fun arts & craft project and storytime with children’s author Danielle Davis () from 3-5pm! Let’s soak in the additional hours of sunlight and celebrate at the market. 🌿🎨🍓

It's March already and we are getting ready for spring produce season 🍋 🥰 🥦 Stop by tomorrow for the weekly and get fresh produce & delicious bites. Our Yarrow extended market which is normally the first Thurs of the month has been postponed to the following Thursday, March 12th. Hope to see you tomorrow! 🌻
