Ministr zahraničních věcí České republiky Tomáš Petříček dlouhodobě vnímá zásadní roli krajanů v našich dějinách i naší současnosti. Domnívá se, že Česká republika by si význam svých krajanů měla pravidelně připomínat. Ministerstvo zahraničních věcí proto po konzultaci s Vámi, našimi krajany, navrhne vládě prohlásit jeden den v roce za „Den Čechů v zahraničí“. „Den Čechů v zahraničí“ by tak rozšířil počet významných dní, které Česká republika slaví, ze současných 15 na 16.

Ministerstvo zahraničních navrhuje níže několik dat, která se pojí s významnými osobnostmi či událostmi krajanského života a prosí, abyste z nich do 31. července 2020 vybrali v hlasování jedno, které Vás osloví nejvíc. Samozřejmě uvítáme jakékoli jiné návrhy, které, prosím, adresujte na [email protected].
