I love Ponte Vista
We love 700!! Ponte Vista
THE NEW PONTE VISTA ..... BUILDABLE, LIVABLE AND SUSTAINABLE
Project Highlights
Ponte Vista announces a further reduction in the overall density of the project–from 830 units to between 676-700 for-sale homes. This means that the current plans for Ponte Vista feature 70% fewer units that the original developer proposed! The apartment building proposed for the south side of the site has been eliminated, and replaced with a 2.4 acre public park prominently
This meeting was informative in general. This community made it clear, "we see a problem", people are getting involved and the community attend by the thousands to listen, learn and to donate.
Of course many folks wanted the homeless gone right after the meeting. Those folks want a solution as soon as possible and that's not gonna happen.
this issue will take years to fix. There will always be homeless but there are too many that need a little help to get over a hump. ( financial, education, counseling, food and shelter help)
If you feel the meeting
Was waste of time then you failed your community.
Remember this is a community of people of all walks of life. Pedro is not Belair.
So use your efforts in "bitching" toward calls to organizations to help.
We are one community of hard working, dedicated and passionate people
Thank you to councilman Joe Buscaino and his staff, harbor interfaith, community organizers and everyone that attend. http://youtu.be/r_OGPxVY6Tc

We are asking neighbors and businesses to help with our crime awareness measure. $869.76 is the remaining cost of the $1739.50 balance with Mareri Sign co., includes manufacture and installation. The Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council paid/covered the first $869.76 for 10 signs that are currently installed.

This is a map from NEXTDOOR.com of the areas being organized. Our 8th St. Neighborhood Watch has turned into a larger, but geographically correct group now called "VDO Neighbors" or Vista Del Oro Neighborhood Watch.
This might help show other residents where some gaps are in the coverage. We need leaders to step up.
Please let me know if i can be of some help. I have created numerous neighborhood Watch groups along with setting up Facebook/social media and getting the ball rolling with LAPD, etc.

Thank You San Pedro!
The 700-unit Plan For Ponte Vista Has Been Approved!
The plan for Ponte Vista has been approved by a unanimous vote of the Los Angeles City Council!
Thank you to the group of supporters who joined us on this most recent trip to City Council - we appreciate you taking time from your busy lives to be there with us for this long awaited occasion!
And THANK YOU to ALL of our supporters who have rooted for the project every step of the way and for whom Ponte Vista was a true labor of love. You attended hearings, wrote letters, called the Council Office, spoke at neighborhood council meetings, rode the bus, listened to presentations, commented on the EIR, sent emails and drank coffee with us in the trailer as the project evolved over the years. You kept us focused on the ultimate goal: making a beautiful new community within San Pedro that truly reflects San Pedro and the Harbor Area. Ponte Vista is for you!
Thank you to Councilman Joe Buscaino and the Council Office staff, members of the San Pedro and Harbor communities and our supporting organizations who have stepped up and voiced their support each and every time they were needed - especially the Harbor City-Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce, the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce and the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce!
Thank you to the Harbor City Neighborhood Council and the Wilmington Neighborhood Council for endorsing the project.
Please continue to check our website, www.pontevista.com, for updates as we begin preparations for construction. We are excited about the project we are going to bring to San Pedro and we know that without you, we never would have made it to this day - thank you!
Please feel free to stay in touch with us at 310-241-0699 or at [email protected] with any questions as we move forward.
Best wishes,
Sarojini Lall and Elizabeth Brazil
