📢 Attention, Pacoima residents!
 The Pacoima Branch Library will be closed Monday, August 24 through Sunday, November 15 for scheduled maintenance.
 During the closure, nearby options include the Sylmar and Panorama City branches. Materials can be returned to any Los Angeles Public Library location.

📢 ¡Atención, residentes de Pacoima!
 La Biblioteca de Pacoima estará cerrada del lunes 24 de agosto al domingo 15 de noviembre por mantenimiento programado.
 Durante el cierre, entre las opciones cercanas se encuentran las bibliotecas de Sylmar y Panorama City. Los materiales se pueden devolver en cualquier biblioteca pública de Los Ángeles.

Thank you to Mayor Karen Bass for including Pacoima Neighborhood Council President Mikayeel Khan in today’s press conference at Ritchie Valens Park!

Alongside LADWP CEO Janisse Quiñones, Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez, and other city leaders, Mayor Bass announced a historic Street Lights Initiative to install up to 60,000 solar streetlights across the city over the next two years ☀️💡

This initiative will help combat copper wire theft and keep our neighborhoods safe and well-lit. Swipe ➡️ to see already-installed solar streetlights in action.

As construction on the East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit Project moves forward, the existing bike lanes on Van Nuys Blvd will be removed.

To make up for that, Metro will build new bike lanes on Terra Bella St., from Wakefield Ave. to San Fernando Rd. — about 2.5 miles. Changes will also be made to the street layout to fit the new bike lanes.

Construction is scheduled for spring/early summer 2026 and is expected to take two months.
