Happy 100th Birthday to Walk of Famer Betty White! We miss you. NOTE: Our crew has repaired Betty’s star and the last touch for her birthday celebration today was the polishing of it but due to rain it will have to be completed tomorrow. 🌹Thanks to the Hollywood Historic Trust for funding the repair.

Congratulation to our fifth hero, Stanley Folb!

Starting over 60 years ago, developer and entrepreneur Stanley Folb decided to take a chance on building much needed office space in the heart of Hollywood. From Motown Records and Cannon Films in his early days, Stan's buildings have been home to many of Hollywood's most successful creators and have shaped both the skyline and the economic trend-line of what has now become the world's capital of content creation. As a pioneer in the community, he did not want to stop there, he found time to serve on the Board for the Hollywood Chamber Community Foundation while supporting other local nonprofits such as the Hollywood Police Activities League, Hollywood Police Support Association and Friends of Hollywood Central Park.

Congratulations to our fourth hero, Kevin James!

Best known to the Hollywood community as the City's Film and Television Liaison and the long-serving President of the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works, Kevin has more than 20 years of legal experience in Los Angeles, including years as an Assistant United States Attorney, and almost two decades at leading L.A. law firms. Kevin began his legal career at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he benefited from the organized training program for young lawyers at one of L.A.'s largest and most accomplished firms, and learned from the firm's dedication to community involvement and participation in social and civic issues.

Congratulations to our second Hero, !

She has served 11 years in the Marine Corps, where her missions included disaster relief and she decided to continue her efforts in serving the people through the LAPD. Officer Geaney knows the streets of Hollywood as well as anyone, and she is trusted by community leaders and even some homeless advocates. She continues to dedicate herself to the youth as she mentors them towards a better future of sustainable living. We are so happy to recognize Shannon and her outstanding work within the Hollywood community!
