From credit to closing, the path to homeownership starts with access 💙
We’re still reeling from an incredible event just one week ago!
Here’s the official recap! 🎬
In celebration of National Financial Literacy Month, New Economics for Women hosted our Spring 2026 Homebuyer Resource Fair in April—bringing together community members and trusted partners to highlight the importance of financial education, healthy money habits, and pathways to homeownership.
The event created space for real conversations, practical guidance, and meaningful connections. Through interactive panels, attendees explored what it takes to buy a home—from building credit to understanding down payment assistance programs. One message stood out: the best time to buy is when you are ready.
Moments like these empower families to move forward with confidence and take the next step toward economic mobility.
Thank you to our partners: Bank of America, Cathay Bank, Chase, Citibank, City National Bank, First Citizens Bank, U.S. Bank, USC Credit Union, Wells Fargo, Monica Vargas - Castlerock Properties, Celeste Castillo - ReMax, CalHFA, City of Huntington Park, NEW Homeownership Department, and Fair Housing Foundation.

A day our students will never forget ⚾💙
Our Learning Center students had the opportunity to visit Dodger Stadium, experiencing something beyond the classroom—building memories, strengthening friendships, and feeling the excitement of being part of a live game.
For many, it was their first time at a stadium, and moments like these spark joy, foster belonging, and open the door to new possibilities.
Thank you to the Los Angeles Dodgers for making this experience possible for our students.
Moments like these matter—stay connected to see what our students experience next. ✨

This Spring Camp, curiosity took off!
Students explored STEM through hands-on learning—designing parachutes, launching rockets, and discovering real-world science.
Just as importantly, they built confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging through meaningful SEL experiences.
Moments like these don’t just create memories—they create opportunity. ✨

Spring Camp at NEW Academy 🌱🌼
Spring is in the air, and with flowers blooming brighter every day, our young gardeners planted their very own seeds in decorative pots. As they learned how plants grow, they got to put their knowledge into action and take their plants home to watch them sprout and bloom.
The excitement didn’t stop there—students had so much fun, they’re already asking for more planting days! Some even shared the idea of starting a school garden… and we love it 💚
Stay tuned… our garden dreams might just become a reality!
