Karina Casillas has worked for the City of Los Angeles for over 5 years. Her career in public service has led Karina to the Office of Community Beautification where she works to make LA a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable city by empowering the communities of LA with the necessary knowledge and resources to play an active role. In her spare time Karina is passionate about issues relating to women, access to higher education, and creating more multi-functional green spaces such as urban farming. Karina is currently training for the 2019 Climate Ride(250 Miles in 5 days) as a part of the LACBC team.

Happy International Women’s Day. In the year of and Time’s Up, the spotlight is on women calling for change. This year’s theme is . Toastmasters City Hall X helps women do just that. Join us each 1st and 3rd Wednesday at City Hall, in room 1040 on the 10th floor from 12 to 1:00 p.m. Practice public speaking in a safe place, empower yourself and other women. Take on various roles that make you a better leader. Toastmasters is where leaders are made! We look forward to seeing you soon.
