We are incredibly proud of our outstanding LIJC students—Jocelyn, Stephanie, and Abigail—for receiving the MABF Scholarship. Their recognition is a testament to their hard work, leadership, and unwavering commitment to advancing immigrant justice and advocating for Latino communities. We celebrate not only this achievement, but also the impact they continue to make in the pursuit of equity, dignity, and access to justice. We cannot wait to see all you accomplish!

Thank you, , for inviting us to participate in El Mundialito. Events like these remind us that building strong, informed, and empowered communities happens both on and off the field. As we shared community resources and connected with families, we celebrated a simple truth: community, dignity, and belonging know no borders.

Attention asylum seekers: URGENT action may be required by Friday, May 29, 2026!
Did you file an affirmative asylum petition (Form I-589) with USCIS?
Is your case still pending without a final decision?
Did you receive an “Annual Asylum Fee Notice” from USCIS with amount required for $100?
If yes, you are required to pay the Annual Asylum Fee by Friday, May 29, 2026.
What happens if I don’t pay the AAF by Friday, May 29, 2026?
If you fail to pay within 30 days of the receipt notice date, your asylum application will likely be denied, your work permit will be cancelled, and USCIS will refer your case to immigration court with a Notice to Appear (NTA), which starts the deportation process.

⚠️ FRAUD ALERT ⚠️
Professional identity theft is becoming increasingly common, especially in immigrant communities. Fraudsters often steal real attorneys’ names, bar numbers, and professional profiles to appear legitimate and gain trust.
Someone is currently impersonating a member of our team and falsely claiming affiliation with trusted organizations to defraud community members.
This person is NOT connected to our office or institution.
🚩 Red Flags to look out for:
• Only communicates through WhatsApp/social media
• Requests payment through Zelle, CashApp, or wire transfer to private accounts.
• Uses screenshots and images of real attorney profiles
• Promises guaranteed immigration results
✅ Stay safe:
• Verify attorneys directly through the official State Bar website
• Contact organizations through official phone numbers/websites
• Never send money or personal documents without verification
Please share to help protect our community from immigration fraud.
