Hello Jr. Cadets, I would like to share a message to you from Officer Lopez:
The year 2020 will be written down for all to see, read, and study. The events of this year will forever be placed upon our history books. Generations will be able to look at the events of the past that brought the confusion of our present, and the uncertainty of our future. Time will dictate if it is deserving of a paragraph, a page, or even a chapter. If you look at your life as a book, how would your life be defined? Take this time as an opportunity to define yourself, (Carpe Diem) is Latin for seize the day. If your goal is to be a basketball star, then shoot baskets. If your goal is to be a doctor, then educate yourself. If you dream of being a chef, then prepare a meal. Don’t allow our current events to author you a life of fear but allow your good heart, sound mind, and good judgment to author you a novel masterpiece that is your life. “The sun will soon set and night will come but only because it needs to bring tomorrow.”
Officer Pacheco, Officer Piamonte, our supervisors, and myself would like to encourage you to stay positive, motivated, and educated. Use this time to better yourself. We will continue to reach out to you and keep you informed. Stay physically fit, stay prepared, and stay committed. Please do your duty and pass this message along to all our cadets, recruits, and junior cadets that meet with us.
Thank you,
Officer Lopez
