After considering questionnaires and interviews with viable candidates, the Elections Committee has recommended Councilmember Nithya Raman for endorsement.

On Wednesday, City Council will have the opportunity to make Los Angeles a more affordable and livable city. We call on our local elected leaders to cap the rent at 3%.

Election of a Membership Director.

Sergio Perez, the Executive Director at the Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law, will discuss the legal battle to protect the rights of immigrants from the Trump Administration and the effect the Trump Administration’s policies are having on communities in Los Angeles.
Stay in LA coalition (https://www.stayinla.org/ ) will discuss their efforts to increase California Tax Incentives to keep film and TV production in Los Angeles, with possible action for the Club to formally endorse their campaign.
There will also be an update on the Club’s efforts to support the Mid City West Progressive Slate.
